The National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship defines a cancer survivor as anyone with a diagnosis of cancer from the moment of diagnosis and for the remainder of their life. And in catchments of cancer survivors we include the person with cancers, family, their loved ones, their friends, their co-workers as an effort to make people feel that people rarely--hopefully rarely, if eve--have cancer in isolation, that they're not alone with this diagnosi,s and that by sharing the diagnosis with people that love them and that they love, they can both educate and feel supported through that process.
